The Soul of the World by Roger Scruton II

Join us for a reading group of Roger Scruton’s The Soul of the World. We’ll be investigating the following questions: How can we know sources of meaning and order that transcend the natural world? Can we make non-religious arguments for the existence of God or the sacred based on beauty and order in human creativity and the natural world? What happens when we sever our culture and social order from the transcendent?

You may either join the reading group at our office in person or online via Zoom. The discussions will begin at 4 PM Eastern Time, but doors will open at 3:30 for those who would like to have a chat beforehand. The reading group is open to graduate students and recent graduates.

Please contact us if you need a copy of the book.
