The lives of college students are fraught with loneliness and an increasing inability to navigate paths to intimacy. Part of the reason is that while we make meticulous plans to land a job, we are not nearly as intentional with love and with relationships, as if these are optional for living a fulfilling life. Dr. Anna Moreland (Villanova), author of the forthcoming book Majoring in Life: The College Guide to Adulting, will lead a dinner discussion on college life and romance. Drawing on Plato’s Symposium, she will offer insights on the current situation on college campuses, ways to reimagine our goals, and practical steps we can do to get there. This event is open to all undergraduates, graduate students, and recent graduates.
