Master class on the core of The Brothers Karamazov with Gary Saul Morson

  • Hamilton Hall, Room 709 1130 Amsterdam Avenue New York, NY, 10027 United States (map)

Dostoevsky’s reputation rests on his fiction’s brilliant handling of ultimate questions of morality and human nature. In The Brothers Karamazov, he does so most famously in Ivan’s dialogue with Alyosha in the chapters “The Brothers Make Friends,” “Rebellion,” and “The Grand Inquisitor.”

On Friday, September 12, at 10 AM join Morningside for a master class with Gary Saul Morson (Northwestern) on the most widely cited part of Dostoevsky’s work.

This event is co-sponsored by the Department of Slavic Languages at Columbia University.

The seminar is open to current undergraduates and graduate students.

Due to the level of demand for this course, registrations are now closed.
