Dostoevsky’s reputation rests on his fiction’s brilliant handling of ultimate questions of morality and human nature. In The Brothers Karamazov, he does so most famously in Ivan’s dialogue with Alyosha in the chapters “The Brothers Make Friends,” “Rebellion,” and “The Grand Inquisitor.”
On Friday, September 12, at 10 AM join Morningside for a masterclass with Gary Saul Morson (Northwestern) on the most widely cited part of Dostoevsky’s work.
This masterclass is co-sponsored by the Department of Slavic Languages at Columbia University. The seminar is open to current undergraduates and graduate students.
