In his recent memo “The Future Is for Everyone,” Mark Zuckerberg promised that with the rise of AI, “everyone will have a personalized tutor and coach with a PhD in every subject and unlimited patience to help you learn anything you want.” Meanwhile, faculty declare that the age of college essays is over and adapt their problem sets to the reality of AI use. Should you use AI like any other tool for your work? Will it enhance education and human knowledge, or endanger them?
