Beowulf - Benjamin Bagby

Benjamin Bagby is on faculty at the Université Paris – Sorbonne and is a founder of Sequentia. He has spent the last thirty years studying medieval music, including a reconstruction of the delivery and performance of the epic tale “Beowulf” He performs the poem in its original Old English accompanied by an Anglo-Saxon harp, which highlights the unique structures of oral cultures and traditions.
